Before You Book
At Wash & Wags Mobile Pet Spa & Wellness, we believe in creating a calm, safe, and elevated grooming experience for both pets and their people. To keep everything running smoothly and to protect the time, care, and individualized attention each appointment requires, please review the following policies before confirming your booking.
By booking with us, you acknowledge and agree to the policies below.
Pricing Policy
Our grooming prices are based on several factors, including breed, size, coat condition, behavior, and time required. Base pricing reflects pets in reasonably maintained coat condition with behavior that allows grooming to be completed safely and comfortably.
Additional charges may apply for:
Matting
Coats with tangles, compacted undercoat, or matting require extra time, care, and handling. Severe matting may require shaving for the pet’s comfort and safety.
Excessive Shedding / De-shedding Needs
Pets with heavy undercoat buildup or excessive shedding may require additional de-shedding treatment and time.
Behavioral or Handling Needs
Pets who require extra breaks, specialized handling, or additional support for safety may be subject to additional handling fees.
Final pricing may vary based on your pet’s individual needs at the time of service.
Behavior & Safety Policy
Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first.
We reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue grooming services at any time if a pet is exhibiting behavior that makes grooming unsafe or excessively stressful. This includes, but is not limited to:
- aggression
- repeated attempts to bite
- extreme panic or distress
- unsafe movements during grooming
- health concerns observed during service
Additional handling fees may apply for pets who require extra time, breaks, or support.
If we believe continuing a service would compromise your pet’s wellbeing or our team’s safety, we may stop the appointment early and discuss the safest next steps with you.
Arrival Window Policy
Please note that your appointment time is an estimated arrival window, not a guaranteed exact arrival time.
Because each pet receives individualized care, and because traffic and route conditions can vary, slight shifts in timing may occasionally occur. We do our best to communicate updates and appreciate your patience as we prioritize quality, safety, and a low-stress experience over rushing services.
Flea Policy
If fleas are present at the time of service, a flea treatment will be required for the safety of your pet, our equipment, and other pets we serve.
A $25 flea treatment fee will apply.
This helps maintain a clean grooming environment and reduces the spread of fleas between pets.
Reservation Deposit Policy
A $30 reservation deposit per dog is required to secure your appointment. This deposit is applied toward your total on the day of service.
Appointments rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice may have the deposit transferred to the new appointment.
Appointments that are:
- cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice
- rescheduled within 24 hours
- missed / no-showed
will result in forfeiture of the deposit, as that appointment time has been reserved exclusively for your pet.
Because we provide one-on-one, reserved appointment times, last-minute changes are often difficult to fill. This policy helps us protect our schedule while remaining as fair and flexible as possible when adequate notice is given.
